NUMBER 2: “FOCUS”
“Focus” features a Tawny Eagle (Aquila rapax) which is an eagle that is found throughout African and Southern Asia. It is primarily a carrion feeder, although it will also take small reptiles and mammals up to rabbit size. Thankfully, Tawny Eagles are not threatened, and are rated as a “Least Concern” in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.

There's a birds of prey center in southern Alberta, also, and many raptors are rehabilitated annually.
This is a fabulous shot. How did an African/Asian eagle come to be in the southern US?

The Center acquires a number of birds each year through swaps with other raptor centers and also from private breeders who have birds born in captivity and human raised for educational purposes. I do not know the precise history of this particular Tawny eagle, but I assume it came through the private breeder route.
