Skywatch Friday (January 21,2011)

Here my first contribution to Skywatch Friday. These are 3 moon images. The first two were taken during the Lunar Eclipse of  December 21,2010. The third was the full moon on my birthday January 18,2011. All three were taken in Allen, Texas.

Welcome to the fun of Sky Watch! Your first submissions are terrific! I do love the moon! I was born and raised in Dallas, went to the University of North Texas in Denton and my son, now works for the Dallas branch of UNT. I have lived in the northwest for nineteen years first in Portland and now in Seattle. So it's fun to see a fellow Texan. I am one of the hosts on Sky Watch and just wanted you to know we're always glad to have new followers! Hope you have a wonderful weekend -- and hopefully a lot more blue skies than I've seen recently! Enjoy!

The lunar eclipse was nothing short of spectacular. You must have had a special lens to capture this beauty. I'm in awe. Happy Sky Watch!!
